Aleksei archer, the American model and actress, born in New York City is known for her dramatic performance and her versatility. She was born St. Louis and moved fast in New York City when she was just a couple of days old. In 1991, she earned an art bachelor's degree at Barnard College. In the same year, she was offered a job as an entry-level chef at a restaurant called An American Place for one year. Guarnaschelli began her cooking career when she watched mom, who was in charge of editing books at the time, experiment with several recipes in their kitchen. After working under Larry Forgione, she worked in a variety of establishments which included Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot in New York France Los Angeles. She later became executive chef of Butter. Guarnaschelli was a guest on Food Network's Iron Chef America where she faced Cat Cora in the Farmers Market Battle of 2007. Since then, she has participated on the show as a guest judge and competed at The Next Iron Chef Season Four in 2011 where she came in third. She also competed in an episode of the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast episode and lost the contest. Her position as sous-chef was appoint by Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian following the fourth episode of The Next Iron Chef. In 2008 she became the host of the Food Network's The Cooking Loft with Alex Guarnaschelli in which she instructs only a handful of students instructing them on how to reinvent classic dishes.
